Free isn't a big deal?
With more than thirty people voting so far in my poll on their favorite genre to read on Kindle, no one has yet picked the "free titles" choice. Does this mean that the wide variety of free books always available on Kindle is not a big part of the Kindle experience for most people? Myself, I pick up a free title now and then, but I don't load up on them, or otherwise bounce from free title to free title. I usually just go right to the titles I previously decided I wanted to read, and buy them. Maybe most people are like me in that regard. What are your Kindle buying habits?

I've been encouraged to try several new authors.series because of a free Kindle book offer. As a result, I've then gone on to buy another title by the author or the next book in the series.
ReplyDeleteRight now, because I'm relatively new to the Kindle family, I'm happy downloading and archiving some free books I would not otherwise have bought.
However, the regular Kindle prices (average $6 to $10) also encourage me to experiment with new authors/series, so there is a little bit of both going on.
I've even gone as far as to buy both the physical book and the ebook of a title. How weird is that?
Not weird at all! I'm a big admirer of a well-produced book, and always notice nice cover art, attractive fonts, classy layout, etc. Every now and then, I'll pick up a physical copy of a book even if I already own it on Kindle, just to have a nice book on my shelf to take down and admire. I mean, I usually wait for cheap remaindered copies of such books, but still.
